R.I.P.: Alexander Courage & Joseph Pevney

I just wanted to send my condolences to the families of these two gentlemen who have both recently passed away. Alexander Courage among his many achievements is known for composing the iconic theme music for Star Trek the original series and two of the Next Gen films. Joseph Pevney directed some of the best episodes of that series’ second season which by all accounts, were among the best of the whole series including fan favorite “The Trouble with Tribbles” and one of my personal favorites “The City on the Edge of Forever” from season one.

Two important ingredients that have helped Star Trek persevere through it’s 40+ year legacy and become an important part of pop culture. They will be missed by fans and family alike.
